About Us

Timberlake's is somewhere to meet, eat, drink and relax. It is a modern and wonderfully personal interpretation of a classic French pavement-side bistro, offering clean-cut British cooking with the best local ingredients to produce stylishly understated dishes. Everything is prepared fresh to order, so special requirements and personal tastes are easily catered for, and vegetarians and those with celiac disease or gluten intolerance are given equal prominence and consideration. This means that the menu is refreshingly straightforward and - like the intended clientele - quietly comfortable, unassuming and tasteful. It will readily appeal to those diners who can recognise and appreciate good food; and for whom dining out is a regular but planned occasion.

Timberlake's is a family run business providing proper quality and true value. Main courses start at around 9 and a bottle of house wine is about 15, yet the extensive wine list will include special vintages and other dishes on the menu will cost more. At every turn the focus is on ensuring that whatever you select, you will feel that it is money well spent.

At maximum capacity, including the external seating area, Timberlake's will accommodate 30 diners. A key feature is that the afore-mentioned external seating area is not automatically the domain of exiled smokers. There is a discrete smoking area, but the external tables are for dining, and therefore smoke-free. Timberlake's is run by husband-and-wife team Christian and Aleksandra (Alex) Timberlake. For as long as he can remember, chef Christian has dreamt of running his own place. His mother and stepfather ran a renowned Bistro on the South coast for many years, and his father was a self-taught and accomplished cook in his own right. Christian himself has worked at the AA 4-star, 2-rosette Feather's in Woodstock, as well as the Michelin-starred Read's in Faversham. He has also worked in the heart of London providing corporate catering for some of the city's most prestigious law firms and most recently has been praised for his traditional pub menu at the Coach and Horses in Harrogate.

Aleksandra has 15 years in the hospitality industry gained across Europe, including time at the legendary Gleneagles in Scotland. She has set up and run her own company in Harrogate, providing services to the hotel and hospitality industry, and now she will be running front of house and managing the business aspects of Timberlake's.
